Wakey’s own Milloy return to Warehouse23 Support TBC

With a career spanning 15 years, tours of the USA, Europe, a Radio 1 Session, 2 critically acclaimed albums (both receiving 4K’s in Kerrang), 6 EP’s and countless live shows, MILLOY continue to maintain their ferocity and drive that has always made them stand out from the crowd.

Since forming in Wakefield in 1999 MILLOY have established themselves as one of the most impassioned and passionately supported bands in the UK underground, with a wealth of songs that burn a melodic ferocity rarely heard this side of the Atlantic.

Amidst the swirling complexity of guitars, lock tight bass and pounding drum patterns, the songs are completed by Jim McManus powerful soaring vocals.

MILLOY are quite simply a punk band who wants to rock, and rock they do!

Repeatedly breaking the mould of typical punk / melodic hardcore pigeonholing with their distinctive British sound, MILLOY have graced the stage with many great bands including “Against Me!”, “Get Cape Wear Cape Fly”, “Leatherface”, ”Hell is for Hero’s”, “Snuff”, “Hot Water Music”, “Hundred Reasons”, “The Futureheads” and “The Computers” amongst others.

Their early EP’s led to Radio 1 airplay courtesy of the late, great John Peel, and also Mike Davies, who in 2007 invited them to BBC Maida Vale Studios to record a Radio 1 Session, later aired on “The Lock Up” he hosted. This lead to a feature on the band in the NME in spring 2008.

MILLOY toured the US in 2005 & 2007, and Europe in 2007, 2009 and 2010.

Following several line- up changes and a period of hiatus, in 2014 MILLOY reformed as the original line up to play the “Long Division” festival in Wakefield and headline the “Out of Spite” punk rock festival in Leeds.

With songs for a new full length album written, the next 12 months look like a huge one for the band.
