FRANCESCA BEARD

Francesca Beard was born in Malaysia and spent the 70s growing up in Penang, an idyllic island paradise. Since then, quite frankly, life has been down-hill all the way, but with occasional slow climbs... a bit like mowing a sloping lawn. After a spell in real jobs, she gave it all up to become a fictional character and now exists as a London-based poet, performing spoken word to lucky audiences all over Britain and the World.

NEXT BEST THING

Comedy duo Katie Davidson and Jay Bennet: Jay sees her name in lights and Katie’s fed up with the electricity bill. Together they do sketches. Together they are the Next Best Thing. Catch their show 'Never Been Better' at the Brighton Fringe, 23-25 May, produced by Laura Kenwright.

MEG BURROWS

Playing originals and covers, Meg's music is best described as an acoustic postcard of soulful, folk, blues inspired music. She has played local events/venues such as Homegrown Festival, Colchester Secret Vintage Fair, Woodbridge East Coast Dinner and The Spread Eagle Ipswich. Other highlights have included snug community gigs in living rooms, Summer Weddings and the brilliant Folk East Festival 2014, where she also performed her poetry.
