POLO - PROUD CAMDEN / May Listing

02/05/2015

About this Event

The biggest club night in Camden. Resident DJs playing house, RnB and funk. Inspired by the horse history of the venue, when the stables weren’t used for revelry but treating injured horses. Prepare to be whipped into shape on the dance floor, with house, funky disco and RnB. Proud isn't your standard club, so this won’t be your standard Saturday. With live bands and DJs taking to the stage across the evening, expect plenty of surprises. With the original stables decorated in a variety of themes from Playboy to Secret Garden, you will like a Polo regular!

Once you've been to Polo, you'll definitely be back for more!

Comprising of producer Mc Alistair and Dave Low, co-owner of label Public Demand Records the name Artful Dodger is already established as the most commercially successful UK garage act to have emerged from the scene to date.

The partnership was an instant success on the dance floors due to their versatile ability to play to any crowd in front of them. They have been tearing up dance floors as a duo for over 10 years now and their reputation as an MC / DJ outfit has become highly rated, playing alongside some of the biggest names in the industry such as Busta Rhymes, Calvin Harris, Skepta, Chipmunk , Wretch 32, N Dubz, Wiley, Professor Green & Taio Cruz to name but a few.

THE SQUATTERS

Saturday May 23rd

http://ow.ly/M4pIL

Recognised equally for their rolling basslines as much as they are for their distinctive Northern humour and penchant for poppadoms, The Squatters have toured, produced and worked relentlessly in order to establish themselves as an act that the underground scene has had no choice but to sit up and take notice of.

The Inimitable duo can count enviable support from some serious industry heavyweights including AC Slater, Tough Love, Kissy Sell Out, Danny Howard, Don Diablo, Low Steppa and The Bloody Beetroots, as well as airtime on BBC Radio 1, Capital FM and Kiss FM. Remixing for the likes of Eddie Amador and Vanilla Ace, a Route 94 bootleg championed by DJ Mag, and a fledgling imprint of their own in the shape of What’s Your Status, it’s easy to see how the pair now have all bases covered on the production and release front.

But it’s on the dance floor where the pair’s drive and ability to energise even the latest of late night crowds really defines what The Squatters are known for. The delights of all-night food dispensaries have been sampled in places as far flung as Asia, Ibiza and the USA and tied together by show-stopping sets at the world’s most iconic nightspots, including Ministry of Sound, Cream, Fabric, Victoria Warehouse, Avalon Hollywood, and a headline slot at the UK’s Beatherder Festival .
