Bisha Ali tells jokes on stage, write plays and scripts in her bedroom and can usually be found in her pyjamas. She was a Funny Women Award 2013 Semi-Finalist. Bisha also completed the Royal Court’s Young Writers Programme. She wowed us at the pilot for She Grrrowls as part of IYAF in Kingston, so we had to have her back!

O KARMINA

O Karmina is the musical name of Glasgow-born dancer Kristen McGarrity. Having spent most of her life in the Royal Ballet School and then the Birmingham Royal Ballet, touring around the world performing 160 shows a year, Karmina found herself in uncharted territory in 2013, when a gruelling injury forced her to leave her known life as a professional ballerina. Finding herself retired at the age most people begin their careers, she never despaired or lost confidence. Instead, she began to sing, channeling her highly tuned creativity into songwriting. Within six months of leaving the Birmingham Royal Ballet, she was playing sold out shows at London venues like Courtyard Theatre in Hoxton, and the Betsey Trotwood in Farringdon, and attracting the attention of Andy Burrows (Razorlight) resulting in a tour in 2014.
