May 29th 1985 – Amputee Steve Fonyo completes cross-Canada marathon at Victoria, British Columbia, after 14 months. covering an astonishing 4,924 mi and raising $14 million.

One of the loopt lads recently did a 10k run raised just over a ton.. Well done mate. Really.
