MUSICANS AGAINST HOMELESSNESS – Thursday 20th October – Roadmender Northampton



Oasis guru Alan McGee is launching a new nationwide campaign called Musicians Against Homelessness. And the Roadmender are delighted to be part of this GREAT cause!

.

The twin aims are to raise funds for the homeless charity Crisis and provide gig opportunities for up-and-coming bands. All profits from this event goes directly to Crisis UK.



The Line up



THE SAMUEL RODGERS BAND

Songwriter/Vocalist/Guitarist Samuel Rogers' band's line up now consists of Chris Moulton on Bass and Leon Harrison James (son of Ocean Colour Scene drummer Oscar Harrison) following in his father's footsteps on Drums and backing vocals.

In December 2015, the brand new track 'Liven Up' was played on BBC WM Introducing.

The band's follow up single 'Somewhere With The Angels' was also played on BBC WM Introducing inn April 2016.



KAV

In 2004 he helped reform legendary Manchester band Happy Mondays with lead singer Shaun Ryder whilst in his early 20's, joining the band on guitar & touring internationally with them for 4 years.

KAV's solo material has been compared by the Press to Iggy & The Stooges,BRMC, Kasabian, early Black Keys, Primal Scream, The Rolling Stones &Bob Dylan.

He released his debut album "The Man With No Shadow" in August 2014.

He supported Kasabian at their Brixton Academy show in August 2012, and headlined Club NME @ KOKO in the same month. In 2014 KAV was joined on stage by Oasis founding member Paul “Bonehead”Arthurs at The Viper Room, Los Angeles. Richard McNevin Duff from The Space Monkeys (Factory Records) also collaborated withKAV recording on his album track “Devil In You”.



REPEAT OFFENDERS

The Repeat Offenders sound like The Stone Roses meets The Rolling Stones with an Oasis attitude & a Richard Ashcroft vibe to even things out!!



NICK ASLAM

Nick is a smooth blend of Andy Williams & Roger Whittaker meets Jake Bugg. These are pioneering times; Nick could be what we are looking for. Martin Glover (Youth) Nick has featured on BBC Introducing and is playing the BBC Introducing Stage at the Q2 Festival.



SAME STREETS

'Same Streets are a Paragon of cool in the transcending Rock N Roll scene currently sweeping the UK' (Fred Perry Subculture) Consisting of James Gooch (Guitar,Vocals),Jacob Harris (Guitar), Isaac Bloomfield (Bass,Vocals) and Seb McNish (Drums) the band have already clocked up a a massive amount of gigs in their short time together. Playing with the like of The Enemy,The Rifles,The Sherlocks,The Fronteers and The Red Faces...The band are tipped for big things.



PENNY MOB

Penny Mob ready to revitalise UK indie, starting with double A-side ‘Mr Generation’ and ‘War on the Streets’

London three piece with energy to burn, Penny Mob, are a band who feed off bands who’ve inspired them and the pure exuberance of youth. Likened to the greats of British Indie such as The Kinks, Oasis, Cast, The Clash, Arctic Monkeys, The Sex Pistols and more, they are very quickly winning fans in the music and entertainment industry.



JON McCULLAGH

John McCullagh at 18 years of age has extensively toured both the UK and Europe.

Having already released 2 albums to critical acclaim he will be heading back to the recording studio for a brand new EP to be released later this year.
