The Flipside’ is an event dedicated to promoting local music and community radio in Chester and features live performances from some of the finest artistes on the local scene with DJ support from various flipside selectors and guests. Basically, if you like music, and you live in an around Chester, then you need to get yourself down to this one. Oh yeah, and its FREE ENTRY!Check out the line up.



Mark Henderson

A seasoned veteran of the Chester music scene, he is an outstanding songwriter and combines, a blues / folk groove with thought provoking lyrics and dreamy melodies. Backed by Thor 'rent–a bass player' Brown, the music ebbs and flows, gliding from riff to riff and hook to hook. There is a really positive vibe to everything this guy does and it would be well worth coming out on a school night to see him perform.

David Greenald

Asinger-songwriter from Chester, his musical style varies from song to song and draws on many different influences from around the world, including, Hungarian, lamenting blues, hard hitting rock and more! He is a multi-talented, multi-instrumentalist who has performed as a solo artist and with a number of bands, including World Upside Down and Lord of Scotland, singing, playing guitar, piano, accordion and drums. He’s a unique artist who has become something of an institution on the Chester music scene. Not to be missed.

Someperson

A DJ, musician, composer and beat-maker from North Wales, someperson creates downtempo, abstract hiphop/ trip hop music. As a DJ...well, he's got some great records covering a multitude of styles and eras and blends them together seamlessly, keeping your foot tapping and your head nodding. Someperson also hosts his own weekly show 'The ComeUp' every Tuesday at 6pm on Flispside Radio.

Ole Smokey

He has a long and distinguished DJ career including residencies at the GardenFestival in Croatia, and Mr Scruff’s Tea Tent at the Big Chill.
