FANS

www.facebook.com/thisisFANS/

"FANS absolutely revel in the noise. Drums pound away on a snare-heavy beat, the bass never loses its sixteenth note pace, and the rhythm guitar strums without abandon right up to the beginning of a massive chorus. By the time everything winds down, you'll be yearning for more." - The Line of Best Fit

- "Their dark, post-punk driven sound is as sparse as they come, all brooding, chugging bass lines and pounding, relentless drums." - Clash

- "FANS have some of the most immediate, ready-made fuzzy guitar anthems since The Vaccines." - NME

The band's debut EP is due out this September, the band went onto speak about their first official body of work: "It's a real, honest and raw record - both lyrically and in the way it's recorded and produced live. Everything has pretty much seemed to tie itself together in an organic way."

The EP, produced and recorded by Matt Peel (Eagulls, Pulled Apart By Horses) is built upon a foundation of 90's indie rock influences, all fusing together to create something both immediately striking and intriguing, yet equally enjoyable and memorable.

Speaking on the premise behind the new EP the band have said "the record is basically based around the idea that social mobility is an illusion, that what circumstances you're 'Born Into', 90% of the time is where you'll end up. A feeling that people who are poor aren't valued and have no real control or voice. It is literally becoming a crime to be poor which is fucking mental, and if you happen to be in that situation then it seems like human life ceases to have any value."

The band have seen support from the likes of Steve Lamacq BBC 6 Music, achieved XFM Playlist alongside support from John Kennedy, A List Playlist on Amazing Radio and spins on Huw Stephens and Phil Taggart Radio 1."
