"Like the art of mixology, HYBERN blend dark and beautiful spirits in what is genuinely a unique sound. Drawing from indie, folk and alt-rock, they evoke the soul of Jeff Buckley at times, and the luxurious grooves of Bombay Bicycle Club at others.



David Smith’s haunting, emotive delivery draws us in, underpinned by three equally creative and versatile musicians in Doug Evans, Joe Fowkes and Patrick Watt.



The songs themselves have a subtle pop edge, though at times HYBERN explore euphoric drifting soundscapes before rounding off with another anthemic melody."
