About this Event

***BLINDERS // SAINTS // BLACK WOLF CATCH // BLACK SHOES // JOHN MCCULAGH // DOYA BEARDMORE ***

BLINDERS are a three-piece alternative group from Doncaster who are now based in Manchester.

The band attempts to be in your face at all times, smelting loud and visceral political punk rock with enigmatic, psychedelic poetry and tones. Their diverse, unique combination of raw music creates the ‘Punkadelic’ sound which forces the trio to give everything they’ve got in their frenzied performances, leaving only blood-stained instruments behind.

SAINTS are sludge pop which is a fussion that represents the dirty sound of grunge with the pretty melody side of pop. We perform our own original tunes combined with one or two covers making live performances as good as they can be.

BLACK WOLF CATCH Whisky fuelled Yorkshire rock and roll with a Staffordshire twinge.

BLACK SHOES are a 4 piece band based in Barnsley. They are primarily an indie/rock group (Think Kings of Leon/Arctic Monkeys), but many years of gigs and band format changes have allowed them to create songs that also touch on other genres too, primarily soul, folk, dance and jazz. They combine tight musicianship with fantastic vocal performances, and play mainly within with South Yorkshire area on a regular basis at a variety of venues. They're easy going, amicable lads who are incredibly passionate about their music.

JOHN MCCULAGH influenced by the likes of Donovan, Marc Bolan, Paul Weller and Johnny Cash, McCullagh has been playing guitar and writing songs since he was twelve, and his latent talent for his beloved six-string was soon followed by mastery of the harmonica. When McCullagh was just fifteen years old, he became one of the first signings to music industry legend Alan McGee’s label, 359 Music.
