Blending surf rock guitars with nonchalance and wit, Willie J Healey’s been picking up comparisons to the likes of Only Real, Mac Demarco and even the Beach Boys.



Releasing his HD Malibu EP last year, tracks like Subterraneans and the EP’s namesake HD Malibu are smirking tales of misspent youth that glide over glistening guitars and a beat so relaxed it’s almost counting backwards. Followed by mellowed-out cut Ray, even the expansive percussion channels the best of 60s beachy god Brian Wilson.

NEVERLND are a five piece pop band from Oxford, releasing one free track a month for as long as they can. Playing together since the age of thirteen, they sing of small town heartache, young love, lust and the lack of it over glistening pop hooks, lush harmonies and smooth electro beats. Old sixties ideas come together with modern pop and RnB production.
