London Communion - October

02/10/2016

About this Event

Communion returns on Sunday 2nd October and we have a host of exciting new artists for you...

JAKL

JAKL arrives after the success of the conveniently named “The Jackal”. A song which smashes through the ceiling with a thunderous punch of reverb and a triumphant chorus, all the while being matched with raw emotive lyrics. Expect big things to come from this Indie / Pop songwriter and his follow up release.

Cavalry

Liverpool based five piece have been making ground since they formed back in 2014. Their latest offering “Everything” is a heartfelt, charming song with honest, convincing story telling at its finest. The track hints at noticeable influences The National and The Maccabees and with a host of radio support from the likes of Huw Stephens, Janice Long and Tom Robinson, we know you’re going to love them!

Ainslie Wills

With a gorgeous, rich voice and sublime melodies, Australian progressive pop songwriter Ainslie Wills is special. Recently releasing new track “Drive”, a sonic journey demonstrating the array of talent Wills possesses, we can’t wait to have her play at this month’s Communion.

Terra Lightfoot

Terra Lightfoot is a Canadian singer-songwriter heavily influenced by Soul and Blues. Her powerful, gutsy vocal delivery matched by lyrics of loneliness, hurt and temptation make her a strong performer. After the recent release of her second album “Every Time My Mind Runs Wild”, Lightfoot is back in the UK and we’re excited!

Olivia Sebastianelli

Brighton based singer-songwriter Olivia Sebastianelli pricked our ears earlier this year with debut “Lighting Fires”, Sebastianelli has been gaining momentum over the past six months. When asked about the track she said "I gave everything to that song," she tells us. "By the time I'd finished recording it, I was exhausted! It's a big track, vocally, but I wanted to make a statement with my first single, and I think I've done.” We can’t wait to have her open the night!
