About this Event

Robomagic Live and ROAR presents Rainy Milo @ Notting Hill Arts Club

Rainy Milo will be making her London live performance return on November 30th at Notting Hill Arts Club.

20-year-old Londoner Rainy Milo blends jazz, hip-hop, R&B and pop into something effortlessly cool. Q Magazine called her 2014 debut album “a near perfect album,”.

Rainy Milo attended London’s famed BRIT School, known for honing the talents of acts like Adele, Amy Winehouse, and Jessie J. She released her debut album, This Thing Of Ours in 2011. Milo worked on the album with producers Cole M.G.N. (Grammy winning producer with Beck and member of Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti), Chet Faker, Sjowgren (fka Caswell), Daje and BLCK-RSSN.

Leading up to the November 30th show at Notting Hill Arts Club, Rainy will also be releasing a new single, the first single off her new album releasing early 2017 through her artist owned label, Limey Records

Support comes from Alex Maxwell

Twenty-three year old songwriter Alex Maxwell is the first artist to sign to the newly formed Hollywood Records UK label.

After a decade living and studying in Madrid with her Irish father and Spanish mother, Maxwell returned to the UK in 2014. Working with The Flight and Dan Grech-Marguerat, her debut track 'Drive' entered UK viral charts across summer 2015 with support from Maker Studios as a featured artist.

'No Flight followed in early 2016, picking up local and national radio support after Maxwell was featured as a BBC Introducing artist. In Summer 2016, 'Letting You Know' achieved over one million video views in its first month of release. Maxwell's debut EP, 'Signs' - led by the title track – will follow in Autumn 2016 supported by UK live dates.

China Bowls

China Bowls' sound is a fusion of neo soul, blues and hip hop influences. She is a regular on the Bristol live scene and has also played across the country, from Bristol's Colston Hall to Glastonbury, Boomtown and Bestival. She’s received Wordplay Magazine’s Amplify Artist of the month, as well as rave reviews from Drunken Werewolf and Bristol Live Magazine’s Mustafa Mirreh.

A storyteller in her own right, she delivers both extensive solo sets and dynamic full band performances. As Saffron Records' first signing, she released her debut EP Talkin October this year.

Weaving tales of life experiences, Talk unfolds into an artwork which evokes, comforts and uplifts. Mesmerising vocals, cheekily infectious lyrics and elegantly arranged compositions, make her a luminous performer, captivating the audience with her insightful and poignant melodies.
