Akil The MC is one of the founding members of Los Angeles hip hop group Jurassic 5. Akil played a major part in contributing to Jurassic 5's success contributing as an MC, song & chorus writer, producer, live show co-ordinator, DJ and the group's active social butterfly.



Akil was born and raised in LA where he was first introduced to the knowledge, rhythm and understanding of the universal culture of hip hop. Akil takes his musical talents and influence from his mother who was a dancer and father who was a DJ and record collector.
