“I absolutely love this… Bristol’s finest” – Guy Garvey, BBC 6 MUSIC

“Bristol won’t be able to hold onto these lads for long” – 247 Magazine

Described as “heartfelt, shambolic, ludicrous pop” by their producer Bruno Ellingham (Massive Attack, The Maccabees, New Order), Bristol five-piece Goan Dogs have built a notably fervent fanbase in one of the musical goldmines of England and are now ready to take their next step towards national prominence.

Following on from their debut release “Flying Business Class”, which drew critical acclaim from across the tastemaker spectrum - from BBC 6 Music, Amazing Radio and the indie blogosphere, new track “Devil Inside” continues their signature sound, blending nuanced, experimental percussion and rhythms to invigorating, interesting pop melodies. It’s not hard to see why they’re such a hit with national musical treasure Guy Garvey – there is a lot of Elbow in Goan Dogs; a similar trail of inventive musical craftsmanship paired with clear technical prowess.

It’s a combination that’s seen them perform at a number of the more respected festivals already this year including Samphire, Boondocks and Fieldview and they have just announced two headline shows (dates below). Goan Dogs are one of those rare finds – a joyously talented, creative group of musicians that revel in technical ability as well as glorious melodic experimentation. It won’t be long before they’re not only Bristol’s favourite sons, but taking their rightful place amongst the brightest of the country’s new acts.
