About this Event

TheBooksDem- one of London’s most exciting creative organisations- are taking over Notting Hill Arts Club for the 1-year anniversary of Nubia Assata’s ‘What is Next For Us?’, a brilliant book exploring the history of black political activism and discourse around the world.

Centred around panel discussions from the prodigy author, the event will present provoking conversations on ways to create effective radical change in today’s world. We’ll also get a deep-dive perspective into how the book was made, teaching us how to transform our creativity into tangible products.

Our range of insightful activists, artists and community leaders will also share their perspectives on topics such as visual art, culinary activism, black entrepeneurship, youth political engagement and so much more!

Community is at the core of everything TheBooksDem does, so this event will be full of interactive conversation, exciting music and networking opportunities.
