Willie J Healey grew up just outside Oxford, and writes with dreamy wit and self-aware humour about the romance, the fun and mundanity of life.The lyrics to his surf-indie-rock songs are evocative, dreamy and very often very funny. Willie recently turned 20.



His music comes straight out of English suburbia, but gives a fuzzy passing glance to American small-town living, and a big smile towards the brilliant absurdity of just about everything.



Willie J Healey drinks the light beer at parties. He is part-time living, with full-time dreams, and he knows he's not cool unless he's popular.
