Pre release screening of documentary - The Writer With No Hands



In this independent documentary, British academic Matthew Alford explores fresh evidence in a Hollywood cold case. Was the death of screenwriter Gary Devore in 1997 an improbable accident or an orchestrated assassination? Alford pours over documents for years before deciding on a radical new course. Desperate for an answer for the sake of his own sanity, he flies to Los Angeles to meet the widow and a series of government contacts. Is it really possible for one man from England to take on the CIA single-handed? Perhaps. But one thing is for sure: when you dig around in the American underbelly, losing your mind quickly becomes the least of your worries.
