Absent Kelly's Sonic Sketch: The Garden Party

10/06/2017

About this Event

Full Line Up: The Garden Party, Todger, Beisty, Last Hyena, The Queen's Bastards

We’re bringing our first night of Rock to the stage of the Notting Hill Arts Club this June with some AK favourites and some new blood.

Topping the evening's bill is a hotly tipped act that has impressed promoters Absent Kelly at a previous show. The Garden Party are a fresh and unique Rap/Rock duo from London, who's heavy, funky guitar lines and snarling raps have seen them compared to the likes of Rage Against the Machine and Asian Dub Foundation.

Bringing with them their brand of Classic inspired Rock, is Todger. This London outfit specialise in chugging guitars and growling vocals, that has seen them compared to the likes of Guns ‘N’ Roses and Thin Lizzy.

Another firm favourite of Absent Kelly, is Beisty. The four London lads perform with bags of energy, playing alternative rock with a funky edge that has seen them play stages as big as Lovebox!

Bristol Math-Rock trio, Last Hyena will be joining us. Their sound is distinctive and complex and has gained them a spot at this year’s Dot To Dot Festival!

Opening the show is The Queen’s Bastards, a London Grunge band who’s sound is dark and brooding and reminiscent of the likes of Nirvana and Pearl Jam.
