Acoustic Folk Rock performer Ben Hutcheson is credited for a dark, husky growl of a voice with softer tones. His unique writing style and distinctive songs are not to be missed.

After supporting Mike Dignam and Natasha North in Summer 2014 James released his debut single ‘Read Between The Lines’ a definite fan favourite, followed by a powerful music video. At the prime age of 21 James began playing with a backing band, making the James Paterson live music experience even bigger than before. James and his band toured the UK in the summer of 2015 playing countless shows in many cities across the UK. In August 2015 James embarked on a North American tour stopping off in Long Island, Boston, Toronto and in the heart of New York Manhattan, to which he received an American following calling him "the new Ed Sheeran". In December 2015 James released a beautiful and emotionally stirring music video for his song 'Eternally' followed by his debut EP 'Long Story Cut Short'.
