Sour Kix Release Party at The Boileroom

15/07/2017

About this Event

With support from: Portland // Ellia & Dan // Emily Parker

Sour Kix are a young talented and hard working band from Woking made up of siblings Louis 16 (Guitar), Ollie 14 (drums) their sister Amelie 11 (vocals) and their friend Ed 16 (Bass). Having formed in 2013 they made a name for themselves playing local festivals and gigs before in 2015 exploding onto the larger music scene with appearances at Carfest North and South for BBC Children in Need along with WWF’s Earth Hour (for which they are now ambassadors) to name but a few. At the end of the year they were invited to perform live on Chris Evans’ TFI Friday.

2016 was even busier with the band playing at numerous festivals and gigs across the country such as Albury Music Festival, Gig on the Green in Yateley, Haslemere Fringe, Cranleigh and Woking Food Festivals, Always The Sun and of course the Boileroom in Guildford.

In early 2017 the band started recording their first EP ‘Wildest Dreams’ which along with their new material, Play Around, Real Deal and Bad Reputation, will include their first release Wonderful and bonus remix of Real Deal. And what could be better than to release the EP with a special show at one of their favourite venues, the Boileroom.

To make the evening even more memorable, some amazing special guests have agreed to help out and join in with the party. The fantastic Portland who Sour Kix have been fortunate enough to share the stage with on several occasions, will be performing some of their incredible harmony based folk rock. Also, a performance from the super talented Ellie and Dan will be combining dynamic vocals with sensational keyboard skills and kicking the evening off will be the enchanting voice of Emily Parker accompanied by Sour Kix’s own Louis, on guitar.

The evening will certainly be a sell out and one which shouldn’t be missed, so book your tickets early.

Sour Kix would like to say a big thank you to all of the people who have helped and supported them on their journey and given them so many great opportunities. There are just too many to mention, but you all know who you are!!
