Liverpool Noise Presents: Whitechapel Centre Music Fundraiser

07/07/2017

About this Event

We are throwing a music fundraising night in aid of The Whitechapel Centre on Friday 7th July at 24 Kitchen Street with a boss line up.

The Whitechapel Centre is the leading homeless and housing charity for the Liverpool region working with people who are sleeping rough, living in hostels or struggling to manage their accommodation. They are committed to helping people find and maintain a home and learn the life skills essential for independent living and we are proud to be supporting them. So please come down and support this night for a brilliant cause!

FEATURING:

Deliah - Having been premiered by Fortitude Magazine and GigSlutz, and being featured on The Only Way Is Essex, their latest single, Better The Devil, took them on a tour of the UK. Supporting the likes of GoGo Penguin and Ady Suleiman and, most impressively, Maverick Sabre on his Unplugged Tour.

The Debt Stars - With energy and drive, catchy hooks, great lyrics with a sometimes sardonic (but funny) bite. If you like your music to tell it like it is and hit you right in the solar plexus, The Debt Stars are for you.

Takotsubo Men - Breathless, energetic, post-punk joy is how we would describe Takotsubo Men. The band have a knack of being able to write tracks that punch hard and leave a lasting impression. They've just released their debut album, with a blistering review from ourselves and a desire to see them live which we can now fulfil.

WEEKEND WARS - From very early and continued support by BBC Merseyside Introducing (Dave Monks), Weekend Wars have seen airplay from 6 Music (Steve Lamacq and 6 Music Recommends), Amazing Radio and the newly relaunched Virgin Radio (Jon Jackson). They have played at Sound City as well as this year's The Great Escape Festival in Brighton and will be playing at Dot To Dot Festival this weekend!

HEADLINERS

COLOUR - Colour are a band who have received widespread critical acclaim from the likes of Q Magazine, Clash Magazine, BBC Music, The Sunday Times and Gigwise to name just a few. Their rock pop anthems are infused with electronic influences and catchy hooks which have helped gained them attention across the country as well as sold out shows in Liverpool.
