September Art Walk
About this Event
Unity Works in partnership with Jordans Solicitors is proud to present artists
Danny Day
Jan Millington
Stan Duncan
Angie de Courcy Bower
Danny Day is a fine art documentary photographer who uses his camera to question the meaning and purpose of sight. He lost sight in one eye as a child, and in his 20's was to have the same eye removed. Now he is left with one, short sighted eye. However, he chooses to embrace this impairment, and recognises the benefits of being able to see the world through one eye.
Jan Millington is a canvas artist who will be supported by Poets Stan Duncan and Angie de Courcy Bower. Stan and Angie are members of Wakefield’s Black Horse Poets. BHP President Michael Yates says: “Stan and Angie are two very talented people, their verse is funny, sad and immediately accessible. Stan has published two books of verse, while Angie is also a talented visual artist. Our idea is that some people will come in for the poetry sessions and stay for the artwork.”
They will be performing in the Unity Works Reception at 6pm & 7pm.
