Having played the long game to build a name for himself through the 90s and 00s, the German artist struck gold when he starred in Berlin Calling, a film he was originally only supposed to produce the soundtrack for. Cementing his reputation as a purveyor of dramatic, cinematic and melodic dance music with that crucial Berlin techno sensibility, he’s since taken his big room sound across the globe, recently releasing his seventh studio album 7 to critical acclaim.
