Function 16: El-B & Benny Ill Function 16: EL-B vs BENNY ILL - Garage special Garage to DubstepThis time around we bring you a double header of pioneers that on the turn of the millennium changed the course of UK dance music forever. Dubstep; an original UK sound that serendipitously merged Dub & 2-Step influences, no-one produced more key tracks to the birth and classification of the genre than these pair. We are humbled to announce that EL-B and Benny ILL will be going tune for tune in the Moles basement on November 27th. Previous guest El-B [AKA ghost AKA Groove Chronicles], and Horsepower Productions boss Benny will be taking you through a special evening of the influences behind their achievements. We're digging up the past as we drag up old garage, their signature 2-step, and the earliest of dubstep for a rare occasion of education within the club environment. Come and have your night soundtracked by innovators. Function founder A-Bee will also be presenting a special selection on wax for the occasion. Expect serious selections from the rising star.
