About this Event

Mamadou and the Lekette Band play a mesmerising mix of Senegalese mbalax, salsa, Afro-beat, jazz and reggae.



Described by the Manchester Jazz Festival as a band “guaranteed to make you smile and move,’ the Lekette Band are a five-piece consisting of drums, keys, guitar, bass and vocals. Built of musicians from the UK, Africa, the United States, and Spain, this global group have built up a strong reputation across the North West.



Taking over the reigns of our monthly ‘Sounds from Afar’ segment of Live Music Thursdays, Mamadou will be landing on the first Thursday of November.
