The Nest is hyped to welcome our punk rock friends from Ireland
KISS MY ACID, with support from many of our other friends here in the SouthWest. A night of collaboration with a diverse range of bands and performances.
The night has been organised by Bath DIY Punk Collective. A newly started group which promotes the ethos of solidarity and support within the local music scene. Bath DIYPC aims to build a supportive network of people: venue owners, promoters, bands, artists and gig-goers who are interested in supporting their local scene in Bath and working together to put on gigs.
HERE'S OUR EPIC LINE UP::
-----KISS MY ACID-----
-----[10.20-11pm]-------
Headline band Kiss My Acid are joining us on their UK tour. Melodic, demented, alternative punk: their music screams at us like a rabbit in headlights. Fun Fact: Front woman, and our fun loving friend Freda has also played with Green Day on stage....Epic right?

For one night only, Bristol-based Invincible Pigs will be playing as a three-piece on our acoustic stage. Embracing the DIY ethic and punk attitude, IP consists of powerful vocals, strong rhythms and catchy melodies. Playing a lively mix of original songs, traditional tunes and jigs, and contemporary covers of songs you like.

-----THE UNANNOUNCED-----
------[9.20-10pm]------------------
Fresh on the scene, The Unannounced caught our attention with their official video "No Onions". Heavily distorted garage punk from Bath, these guys drench the punk genre in a lethal dose of grunge. Playing songs heavy enough to make ears bleed, the audience rises to meet this challenge.

-----YONIC-----
-----[9-9.20pm]-----
"Yonic (adjective) refers to a pattern or object that resembles the shape of a vagina or vulva.YONIC (musician) refers to a guitar playing singer-songwriter whose writings comprise of comedic, self-deprecating anecdotes obscenely detailing her journey into feminism". In both instances, Yonic is almost unheard of. However, in language and in music, Yonic is an undiscovered yet astute descriptor of some funny shit. Playing a set of anti-folk feminist songs, Yonic is not to be missed.

Unapologetically DIY, 51st State have been pivotal figures in the Southwest scene for nearly a decade. Inspiring other bands, collectives and like-minded folks, the duo now have their base of operations set in Exeter. Currently identifying as 'bass and beat punk' the two continue to transform their sound and transcend barriers within th punk genre; their originality never fails to impress.

-----JACK REYNOLDS-----
------[8.15-8.30pm]----------
Currently based in the hometown of Bath, our blue-haired boy, originally from London, plays folk punk inspired by Patrick Fitzgerald. Also inspired by Pat The Bunny, Days n Daze and Billy Bragg, Jack writes honest songs about everything that pisses him off in the world we live in.

-----SKINNERS-----
-----[7.45-8.15pm]----
Bashing out protest songs for the ADHD generation, local band Skinner's are Bath's best screamo/powerviolence crew.
Identifying as Leftist, their songs, such as 'Fuck People Who Eat Meet' and 'Sit down Fuccboi' stand as a critical statement against socio-political issues and inter-personal relations in present day society. Gigging regularly, Skinners have recently played with Subhumans, The Restarts and The Rebel Riot.

As the host and main organiser of the event, Cat will be opening the night with an introduction to Bath DIY Punk Collective, and an ode to noncomformative honest expression.
**We will also be joined by our local friends, PROTESTIVAL. A bath-based platform for cultivating and sharing ideas, through events that build unity through diversity.***
