Karen Rothery joined Surrey Sports Park 2 years ago as its first female CEO, after almost 8 years as CEO of the newly formed British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS). One of only a handful of senior women in the sporting world, she delivered unprecedented government investment into higher education sport, record levels of sponsorship cash and commissioned new research into the link between sport and graduate employability. Her talk will bring this to life along with a flavour of her personal journey from an early career in the garment manufacturing industry to the exciting world of sport.
