**UoB students will require student tickets, UWE students and other members of the public will require non-UoB student tickets**



We have invited Asim Qureshi, research director at CAGE, to talk about Islamophobia through the lens of structural racism:



By understanding the matrix of UK policies, we can better identify how Muslims are structurally discriminated against, so that once they enter a system, it is often difficult for them to escape.



The case of Mahdi Hashi best exemplifies this phenomenon and by tracing his case, we are better able to analyse the system as a whole.
