TAMZENE is a singer, writer and multi-instrumentalist from the coastal town of Cromarty in the Scottish Highlands. Having started learning violin aged eight, at 14 she further extended her musical dexterity by picking up guitar and embarked on writing her own material. Her unique mix of Jamaican and Irish heritage encouraged an immersion in Soul, Folk, R&B and Reggae from an early age, with her initial influences coming from hearing Roberta Flack, Aretha Franklin and Nina Simone played around her home- before progressing to contemporary artists like Birdy, Solange and James Bay. Spotted busking on the streets of Inverness by bookers from Scotland’s Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival- TAMZENE had a great 2019 performing at festivals including TRNSMT, Kendal Calling, Latitude, The Great Espace, Live at Leeds, Reeperbahn and kicked off 2020 with a slot at Holland’s Eurosonic. She signalled her returns with another heart-stopping moment in most recent single the soulful pop track ‘You’re With Somebody Now’. It speaks of heartbreak, nostalgia and regret, with the practical outlook that the past is the past and now things must change.

Hailing from Hertfordshire and born to Greek-Cypriot parents, the 22-year-old British vocalist and songwriter, MICHAELA, is due to storm the pop world in 2020. MICHAELA emulates the writing styles of Ariana Grande and Charlie Puth; whom she also cites as influences. Writing original songs since she was a child, MICHAELA has spent substantial amounts of time honing her musical craft and now works with some of the biggest songwriters in Europe. The single 'Cigarette', released via Universal / Spinnup, has garnered interest from fans with a music video shot by Raja Virdi (Rihanna, Lewis Capaldi, Years & Years), who is one of the most exciting UK directors at the moment. � This first release preludes an acoustic EP to be released in early 2020, but follows MICHAELA's feature on dance producer Parx's track ‘Finally’ and several live covers shot in a DIY-style. On release, ‘Finally’ went Top-10 on the UK viral chart, received support from KISS radio and has so far received over 1 million Spotify streams, while her casual covers on YouTube under her ‘michaelaofficial’ handle are garnering interest from fans. The rest of the songs from the first EP will be released over the next few months, with accompanying videos shot by Virdi in different styles. � With her unique songwriting, blend of pop and RnB and very distinctive voice, 2020 is destined to be MICHAELA's breakthrough year.
