About this Event

Formed in 2009 to celebrate the work of Jacques Brel and his life on screen and in recordings (Barbican Cinema, Wilton's Music Hall), the group have pursued a journey of bringing to life the chansonnier tradition of France’s largest names from the past 100 years including Trenet, Gainsbourg, Piaf and Brel.



Les Effrontes is led by band leader / pianist Robin Harris (Musical Director, The Masque of the Red Death, Punch Drunk Theatre) and features Paris-born Tiffany Schellenberg. Other musicians who work with the band regularly are Jay Darwish (double bass), Bubu and Saleem Raman (drums, chopsticks), Ian Bailey and David Bitelli (saxes) and Dan Teper (accordion).
