Since their debut two decades ago, Kosheen have been injecting some underground cred into the popular music charts.



Their sound is a combination of trip hop, dub, bass and breakbeats that has spawned four albums and countless singles.



The trio consists of producers Markee Substance (aka Mark Davies) and Darren Decoder (aka Darren Beale), with singer

and songwriter Sian Evans and many guests have appeared on their tracks including Susie Ledge.



As well as running their own techno label Skeleton Recordings, the trio have released on others including Sony BMG,Sian Records and Zonal Recordings. So too have they had plenty of Radio One support over the years, with tracks

like ‘Hide U’ becoming favourites of tastemakers including Fabio. Tracks like the infectious ‘All in my Head’ have been in the UK Top 10, albums like 2001’s Resist have been recognised as seminal d&b full lengths. 2013 was their 20th anniversary and as such new productions came on Ruffneck Ting, whilst their next full-length album is slated for release in 2014. After many years, plenty of hits and hugely influential shows all over the world, this Bristol group are still right at the sharp end of electronic music.
