SISTERACT is a new bi-weekly Wednesday night at Proud Camden. With spoken word presented by NEFARIOUS MAGAZINE, it provides a positive space for female artists to showcase their work and get creative with other talented souls.

FRANKIE FORMAN

Soulful and sultry, Frankie Forman sings from the heart. Likened to Mazzy Star and Portishead, her sound is a sexy Western esque trip-hop blues. Her upcoming mini album, Blue Dogs, co written with her right hand man Johnny Rock (aka 'Buddy') from PLMB is available now. The track of the same name is hypnotic and ethereal, her voice is smoke and velvet. The poet in Frankie was inspired by the likes of Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen but her vinyl collection is all Nina Simone, Billy Holliday and Tom Waits.

Atypical girls bonding over a love of everything DIY and punk, Brutalistas got together in 2013 with the aim of making raw, primitive rock 'n' roll. Their main inspirations are Bikini Kill, Joy Division, The Stooges, The Ramones, Patti Smith and The Slits

Charlotte Hatherley is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and composer. She has played guitar with ASH, KT TUNSTALL, and she is an all-round strong independant female.

Amy is another strong independant female who runs a weekly club night called Chick Habit, an indie/alternative night with fortnightly live music and has booked and played alongside major acts such as JD Samson.
