Notting Hill Live presents.. No Quarter

11/06/2014

About this Event

7pm-2am

Notting Hill Live presents .... No Quarter is now a monthly Wednesday nighter (on the second week of each month) focused on presenting quality artists without any genre limits as we showcase great new live music...

We begin the on stage action with Stephanie O'Brien, a singer-songwriter described as "beautifully feminine and utterly captivating" (Hoxton Amp). Her debut EP shares something heart-achingly real and raw, capturing the intensity and intimacy of her solo live sets, her songs and vocals elicit a sensation that is nothing short of compelling.

We then welcome back Native People, a four-piece indie-dance-alternative band from Folkestone who have had exposure on BBC Introducing.

We then introduce you to Rhys Lewis & The Relics, where singer-songwriter Rhys Lewis combines stirring melodies, driving rhythms and wistful story-telling to create the unified sound of Rhys Lewis & The Relics.

Next up, all the way from Australia, we introduce you to The Delta Riggs. Having been nominated for an Australian Music Prize for their debut album 'Hex.Lover.Killer', they channelled a different beast for their second album, 'Dipz Zebazios'. Still full of swagger and fuelled by Elliott Hammond's whisky-soaked vocals, with an undercurrent of experimentation, urban groove and vocal melodies clearly definable in each track.

We're delighted to introduce you to Du Bellows, an eclectic brew of bluesy rock via gypsy, gospel and tearjerking melancholia held together with deep rhythm-heavy grooves which none less than Jimmy Page has described as "Du Bellows are by far one of the most interesting and musically-adept bands I have seen recently."

After the live sets DJ TV Nights and guests spin the tunes. Expect Motown, classic British '60s beats and Northern Soul stompers in the mix.
