Notting Hill Live presents with live: Johnny Ashby, The Edmondsons (pic), Two Bottle Jump, Angus Mun

17/06/2014

About this Event

Johnny Ashby is a rising star on the UK blues-rock scene, who having spent the last few years as a session musician started his own project which is influenced by the likes of John Mayer and Joe Bonamassa but brings a fresh spin on the classic sounds of the blues.

The Edmondsons are Jane, Ruth and Cat, three sisters from London who grew up playing music and harmonising together. After years of playing covers of their favourite songs they started to write their own, with vocal harmonies always at the forefront of their soundscape.

Two Bottle Jump are a raw yet talented rock group out of London who aim to create music "with the sounds and sophistication of psychedelic bands, combined with the energy of rock and roll.' Their 'ferocious sound is an amalgamation of Wire's concise post-punk, Franz Ferdinand's stylish indie-rock, and various extractions from the heyday of Brit-pop & alt-rock.'

Angus Munro is a piano singer-songwriter born in London and raised in Crieff and Glasgow in Scotland. He plays alto sax in various bands, is an avid Scott Walker fan and writes 'intelligent songs that would draw as much from Noël Coward as they would from Stephen Sondheim...'

7pm-1am; £5, £3 concessions.
