The Blues Kitchen is set to takeover the 600-capacity space on Quay Street, formerly occupied by Walkabout. This is the brand's first move outside of the capital, with the new northern site set to follow a similar formula to sister sites. Bringing a taste of America's deep south, the restaurant bars serve up low and slow cooked meats, have a huge bourbon collection, and play foot-stomping live music every night of the week.
The menu has gathered a cult following thanks to dishes such as beef brisket, Cajun spiced buttermilk chicken and the The Big Boss Burger (grass-fed ribeye and bone marrow burger, topped with brisket and cheese). While there's a party atmosphere pretty much every night of the week, things get turned up a notch with DJs and bands playing covers until the early hours.
